Camped/Fishing trip in Menomonie over the weekend had a blast. Caught about 100 White Bass kept 50 between 3 of us. Caught 8 leagal walleyes only 2 trolling the lake the rest caught on jig and plastic shallow in the weeds. We also caught 6-7 Pike most of them were small snot rockets 2 pushing 30″. All in all a great trip.

We always do last year was the first year out 5 years we did not go. What happened to all the weed beds that use to be all over the notheast end of the lake?
Hard to say, some years good, some years the weeds just aren’t there. In Menomin, more than likely a factor of the algae reducing sunlight penetration, reducing weed growth–maybe just a bad light penetration year.
Was bigtroy moody and acting like a girl again because it was hot???
