So I placed a pre-sale order for one, i’ll provide a review once I get it on the water…I’m kind of a new technology nut, so I like to play with the newest things, that being said, for those on the fence, the LVS32 (with the latest software update) still works incredibly well and you’ll be able to get one pretty cheap once the 34’s hit the market…Another thing to think about is the LVS34 will require an 8″ ice hole…

in the meantime, here’s a decent LVS32 vs LVS34 comparison video from FishAddictions TV – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IQ1YF4F7l1k this video gives some credibility to the suggested 15-20% range improvement from Garmin, it especially shines with the improved screen clarity (which was my #1 want)….

Mine’s on order too. I’m told the end of April or beginning of May for mine. I ordered a GLS10, LVS34 and ECHOMAP UHD 93SV. I’m really looking forward to using it.

I’ve heard some stores got like 1 in…I’ve also heard of online retailers showing they have stock, but they’ll send you an out of stock email after you order… it’s kind of the Wild Wild West early on when everybody wants one and the supply is so limited…The World Fair at BPS headquarters in MO got a few palets full, but that’s their biggest event of the year and you need to pay to get in…

Russel Marine just released a comparison video on the LVS32 vs 34

Forward mode difference is a game changer imo…I suspect the Perspective mode software code hasn’t even been touched yet for the LVS34…The first software update was mostly a compatibility software release, it will keep getting better and better….

There is also a video made in Japan that shows both side by side throwing the same lures. I wish they would have turned one off while comparing to get rid of the interference but they did not. pretty interesting to see how far away it will pick up the lures and how good the target separation is on the 34.It has subtitles so you don’t have to know Japanese grin

    Good info Joe, thanks.

I do have a question though. Won’t the Garmin Perspective Mode Mount that comes with the LVS34 work to mount on a pole?

I do have a question though. Won’t the Garmin Perspective Mode Mount that comes with the LVS34 work to mount on a pole?

probably, but the bottom Summit pole width isn’t very much for the larger Gamrin clamp mount, and I don’t think Summit sells a pole without a quick release mount? I don’t know if the new LVS34 mount is easy to remove just by unscrewing the thumb bolt vs the simple pin system Summit uses? I’m also hoping the Summit LVS34 mount is more streamlined vs Garmin’s mount which looks like it swings out quite a ways for Perspective mode?

I was happy with their LVS32 quick mount, so I took a chance on their LVS34 solution (I haven’t even seen it yet)

Here’s a few pictures of Summit Fishing’s LVS34 Quick Release Perspective mount, similar design to the LVS32 mount but beefier and has a through hole bolt inserted in the middle. Surprisingly the LVS34 thumb screw wont fit on the Summit mount with the rubber washer attached, i’ll reach out to Summit to ask if this is intentional.

I placed a pre-order for the LVS34 and GLS10 combo at American Legacy Fishing (https://www.americanlegacyfishing.com/garmin-livescope-plus-system-with-gls-10-and-lvs34-transducer.html) as soon as they offered them on 3/8. I chose this website because at the time they offered a 10% off code ($170 off) if you signed up for their newsletter. Garmin doesn’t allow discounts on their hardware so I took a chance on it not knowing if it would go through, sure enough they deliverd it this past weekend and I got the discount (no idea if they still allow it?)

I’ve heard alot of people are getting units by going into a Scheels or BPS/Cabelas and seeing them on the shelves (I heard each store gets a weekly alotment, so you need to call often)

I also don’t know of any people getting JUST THE TRANSDUCER, they are buying the LVS34 & GLS10 combo, not sure if Garmin has released just the transducer yet?

Heard back from Summit, with the LVS34 now using the large thumb screw vs the LVS32’s small bolt with allen wrench, the rubber washer is no longer required, makes sense…

so I FINALLY got to spend some time using the LVS34 transducer this past weekend and I think it’s a worthy upgrade over the LVS32. The image is MUCH more crisp and sharp vs the LVS32 and the range is MUCH better! I was forward scanning 140’+ and still had a solid bottom return, with the LVS32 I would start to lose bottom returns after 80-90′. I also noticed the target separation improvement Garmin advertises is indeed true!

I would absolutely upgrade from the LVS32 to the LVS34 if you have the means to do so…full disclosure, I sold my LVS32 transducer before I had a chance to test it out with the new version 20.00 firmware, so maybe it improves a bit with that software and closes the gap with the LVS34? I don’t know…

I finally got to spend some time using my LVS34 also. I agree with everything you say. It is an absolute blast to vertical jig with. I look forward to using it for casting also. I used my LVS32 some also with the 20.00 firmware. The firmware may have been an improvement with the 32, but I would say the 34 is at least the 30 to 40 percent improvement that I have been hearing about.

I’ve had my LVS34 since early May (my 1st LVS) and Its great to use but non so much as yesterday. Kind of had perfect conditions for the bite I was on. No wind and walleye were tucked into the weeds. I was casting to the weeds with a #7 JSR and I could see my bait out 75 feet from splash down and back to the boat. Was a blast to see the walleye shoot out of the weeds to smash the JSR.

The whole system has been great to use I really haven’t moved very far from default settings and have been getting nice pictures even in the stained water I fish.
