What is a good HDS screen cleaner recommended for keeping

Jack many folks uses distilled water with 25% white vinegar.
What I use is the white cloth that came with the unit and river water. Just wet one small piece of the cloth and wipe the screen softly to ensure grit doesn’t scratch the screen.
Then wipe it dry with another section of the cloth.
The distiller water and white vinegar solution works great for me.
I use 50/50 water & vinegar. Then I use lens cleaner in small bottle from Wally world. I have been using this combo on my HDS units since 2009 and it works great. I purchased several of the small bottle lens clears and emptied one for the water/vinegar mixture. They store easily and work great. I also use two of the Lowrance cloths, one for the water/vinegar and one for the lens cleaner.

Windex is fine on the newer screens. Says right in the manual. Spit or a towel dipped in the lake work in a pinch.
The windex referred to in the manual is the vinegar formula. Distilled water and white vinegar works great. Regular windex has ammonia which is bad for plastic screens and coatings.

Walmart lens cleaner and micro fiber towel Works really good!
If you get the small bottle they will refill it free too.

There is a company that my wife shops with called Norwax, its kinda a micro fiber towel that requires Zero chemicals just get it wet wipe the screen clean then wipe it with the polishing dry rag. Works AWESOME no streaks and gets water spots off.
