Lowrance HDS 9 Gen 3 backlight issue

Looking if someone can provide me some input on my screen backlight not working.
Been a flawless unit for 3 seasons. Used it 2 weeks ago with no issues. Got out to South Dakota this past weekend and went to turn it on and I have an almost completely black screen. Can barely see the screen settings. can make out the different pages etc but can hardly see it. Did the normal pressing a number of times on the power button which normally can increase the backlighting with no success. Did a soft reset as well with no luck.

Before I called Lowrance I though I would giveit a shot on IDO and see if any of you good fella’s could share some suggestions?

I was out pretty early in the morning a couple of weeks ago and put mine on night mode so it wasn’t so bright, then as the sun came up it got to where I couldn’t even see to try and put it back to regular daytime brightness. Could this be it?

ill double check but pretty sure we checked that and reset it.
