I am new to ice fishing and have gone out on North Arm a couple of times. I fished in the area where most people are concentrated and had some decent success but I noticed that a large portion of the bay goes untouched. It seems very intriguing to me and I was wondering if anyone has had much success venturing out to the areas with less people.

all i can say is not all fish are congregated in one area so yeah if you can venture out to other spots im sure you will find fish. For how popular of a lake Tonka is there is very little pressure per acre

I gotcha. People definitely congregate pretty tight in “hot spots” just like other lakes. I am going out on Saturday. Definitely going to be doing some heavy hole punching to get away from the crowd!
