Lake Mendota

    I was thinking of heading out Thursday morning for the end of the perch bite. Can anyone fill me in if they are still active? Also how does this lake do with 15-20mph winds? Never fished this lake with more than 10mph winds (except ice fishing) and it seems it would be fine for my 16′.

    20 mph winds can get brutal on there. Most of my friends been bass fishing, and I haven’t been on there much at all this year. Last I’ve heard much for perch has been north shoreline along Fox and some isolated schools between Second Pnt and Shorewood.
