Elwood, Johnson, and Phillips canyon

Well, I went out to Elwood Fri. early, woke up to pretty strong winds, a lot stronger than were predicted!!! (Thanks weatherman) Anyway, tried a lot of the main points and went to trolling because of boat control in the waves. Didn’t do so well. One white bass and that was about it. Went over to Johnson and fished the canal a little and did catch some descent white bass, no eyes though, shad were everywhere in the inlet. Johnson had ROLLERS on it and decided to try Phillips canyon. I made my way up to the power plant and worked that for about an hour with everything I could think of but couldn’t buy a fish so I worked my way back down and same results. Water temp on all bodies of water was at 49 degrees. I might have to call it a year and do some homework over the winter!! Good luck all
