Anyone else getting out during the full moon? My Gear has been packed about 3 times, caller is charged up, headed to the range right now to double check my zero and then a nap till dark.

I hope to get out tonight myself. Having no experience calling at night, how long do you sit a spot? Any othe tricks that one should consider vs daylight?

Im no expert but I always give it longer then a normal set. On a real clear night watch your shadows as they stick out.
January 2, 2015 at 11:02 am #1491113As long as the wind stays quiet I’m going to be out tonight as well, hopefully the rotation of sets I have in mind works.
January 2, 2015 at 11:06 pm #1491352Well I made two sets tonight neither produced, had four sets in mind but after no responses even to the locator I just called it quits. With the snow coming tomorrow and working snow removal this winter while I’m home I may need the sleep for tomorrow more than I’d liken to admit. Hopefully your nights turn out better.
January 5, 2015 at 6:02 pm #1492626Well mother nature sure threw a wrench in my plans.
I have tues/wens off for round 2. Hopefully the wind isnt too bad because the temp sure is going to be.
January 5, 2015 at 6:55 pm #1492666I didn’t make the 90 minute drive to the land. The winds were too high and with the cloud cover, I couldn’t justify the gas. Next weekend.
January 10, 2015 at 8:38 pm #1495369Finally connected on one just now. 45 min into set this female came into a challenge howl. .22-250 55gr vmax tore this dog apart at 150 yards, there’s a fist size hole on it.

Is all you used vocals? Or did you start with distress sounds.
January 10, 2015 at 9:30 pm #1495399I blanked tonight but me and #2 had fun either way.
