    X2 I will even step up to 8 or 10 lb florocarbon if I find there are pike hanging around. It reduces bite offs on expensive raps and spoons!

    Depending on how deep your fishing. A 6# mono will be okay but I would put a swivel on with a 8-10# fluorocarbon leader. And if your fishing somewhat deep I say try suffix ice braid, with the swivel fluorocarbon leader. The. Match that with med rated pole and you’re good to go.
