Sounds like most resorts (for sure South shore resorts) are not letting people out this weekend after the strong South winds yesterday. Haven’t heard what the east and North shore resorts are planning.
I have yet to see a single resort open or plan to open for foot traffic this weekend 11/16-18. Including Rogers, JR’s, Westwind and Beacon Harbor. Next weekend is a better bet…
Borrowed this from Facebook. Roger’s page called it “1000 square foot icebergs held together by 1/2 of last night’s ice”.
So you’re thinking I’d need the big extension ladder this weekend???

That’s what I was thinking. Just make sure to go when there is a NW wind, should be able to get home then!
?? extension ladder now that was funny shiii.
Thanks for the laugh
Rippin Raps size 04 3/16 in UV Green were the clear ticket yesterday. We walked a mile out from a resort into 12.25′ (measured from the surface).
At the fish cleaning station, several swore by the 13′ areas, some were whacking them in 10-11, and two Bemidji State students and their crew of buddies had been whaling on walleyes in the 6-8′ range for a half-week but did terribly in deeper spots.
Lots of mixed reviews, but the walleyes are pretty riled up right now. Almost all fish are over the 17″ slot, but you can keep one of those abundant 20″ fish each. Nobody seems to be “limiting out” because there’s so many fish over the slot. Back out…
I saw pics of a truck and Ice Castle that nearly dumped in today. Luckily they were saved. Maybe a bit early…
