    Anyone been out on bowstring this weekend? Good ice for a wheeler?

    Goo ice for a wheeler in the north metro. I gotta imagine if you are careful, you can keep it on the topside.

    Be careful, lots of people have lost their lives already this year. I think I’ve heard 8 now.

    i was up there the weekend of the 9th. i didnt fish bowstring but heard they were going out with wheelers. it’s my understanding there’s ice ridges by a couple of the accesses and a break about 3/4 mile out in front of one. not sure which one.

    best thing would be to call a bait shop in the area.
