hydraulic steering

    New Ranger with 175proxs and the steering is very stiff after the first test run. is this normal on new boats that need to “break in”? has anyone noticed the hydraulic steering getting better with time?

    Yep, I’d go see your dealer. It should steer like. Well, POWER STEERING.

    The steering will feel different at different power levels, trim levels, speeds, and while maneuvering. it should feel fairly loose at idle and while on plane in the sweet spot, outside of that it may feel pretty stiff.
