How is the ice on small lakes by Big Sandy?

    We tested some small lakes in the area last weekend (Dec 3) and saw 5-6 inches.

    Not Big Sandy but 45 miles straight east, was out on Chub Lake outside Carlton last Saturday and had 7″ of clear hard ice.
    Plan to be out tomorrow on the wheeler with the temps this week (was -5 yesterday morning).
