How do I embed photos

Click the “img” button above, you’ll get a pop up that says paste the url of the image. That url has to end in .jpg or .png or .gif or some other file format that this site recognizes as an image. I think google photos can add other junk to the url sometimes so it might not be the best option for hosting. People also run into permission/sharing issues with google drive at times.
In the past I created a google site and posted my images to a page there, which allowed me to get an actual url of the image. If it’s just sitting in your google photos within google drive it’s going to give you a goofy nonsense url that will get you to the photo but will not be recognized as an image by this site or others.

Select 640x800for the best fitting size. After your photo loads there, scroll down and you will see a selection of links to copy for different types of formats. Select “hot links for forums” by clicking on the icon on the right of the link. It automatically copies when you select it. Paste into your text box and viola –
August 18, 2019 at 8:40 am #1874188I have always wondered this too. So in order for embedded photos to show up right in your post (vs. the attached photos that you have to click on to view) you have to first upload your photos to a different website?

The bacon size 1.72mb I didn’t.August 18, 2019 at 8:39 pm #1874277August 18, 2019 at 8:46 pm #1874281I have a fruit phone. Not sure if that matters.
Instead of using the google photos app I went to google photos in safari and held my finger on the pic until it gave me two options. Save image or copy. I chose copy. The link was huge. Not the same as the one you get when you generate a link through google photos.
I pasted the link into the img popup and it worked.

Tried in photos.google through Chrome and Firefox and this is what I got. No Help.
I still prefer my desktop for most items, way easier. I can’t get a photo from my phone to link up.
