headed to Kab sept 7-11…smallies?

    Me and 3 other guys taking our first northern trip fishing together…i have been to northern mn and canada many times but this is their first north of minneapolis. One really likes catchin smallies, other 2 never caught walleye, pike, or smallies…i have caught em all and many of em. I really love walleyes.

    Will be at grandview resort in west side…any advice where to hit for smallies and pike? Walleyes too?

    I know where to fish walleyes on general location and on the electronics and have a variety of tackle ready but want to get them on pike and smallies right away. Thanks

    I recommend bringing lead core and shad raps to get down in the 30-35′ of water for Walleye.

    Look for shoreline with boulders the size of your head or a basketball. They will hold Smallies. Be careful for the rocks, shoreline there can come up and bite you if you don’t pay attention. As Brad said you can troll for Walleyes and do well.

    For smallies – hot pink jerkbaits are killer up there.
