Check out http://www.fishinginfo.com. Go to the reports, then Wisconsin, then in the top ten threads, there is one for the Chip and a couple for the Hayward area. The three of them are written and maintained by some of the areas better guides.

October 22, 2007 at 3:06 pm #618578We’ve been having some action about an hour south of Hayward dragging large sucker minnows for the last 3 – 4 weekends. You should be able to pick up some big minnows (15 – 16 inchers) in Hayward at either Pastikas or Hayward Bait and Tackle. Make sure to use a quick strike rig. Good luck.
October 22, 2007 at 3:52 pm #618599Dragging/drifting suckers seems to be the traditional method in the Hayward area as we enter the final phase of the musky season. Pastikas is the place for bait, QS rigs, and timely advice. Be careful to not motor troll your suckers on lakes that are cloased to motor trolling. Drifting with the wind or row trolling are ok.
