As ironic as this is, I’m looking to buy a hamburger press to make sausage patties…. I like making my own biscuits for breakfast, and often just smash the sausage under a plate, I figure it’s time to get a kitchen gadget to do this. I pulled up scamazon and holy cow, there’s more models than I can count. Any experiences appreciated.

LEM has a decent patty press. Fleet Farm or Scheels might have them on hand or just order from their site.

Blackstone makes a single and double. Lowes, FF, Scheels, Wally World.

the one I got from Fleet Farm works but is far from ideal. Poor quality makes it so the patties are uneven thickness because the top plate isn’t level. it sits at a slight angle that can’t be leveled because of the design. it works but I have to manually flatten the patties after taking them out of the press if I want a consistent thickness across the whole patty, which is kind of the point of having a press.

I use 2 pieces of waxed paper and a this. I made it for my Mom in about 1970. Yes, I was a little kid. Easy to get patties even. I never thought of getting a press.

I will use it tonight for Wild Turkey Burgers: Mix #1 ground turkey breast – #1/4 ground pork or bacon – 1/4 cup each finely chopped sweet onion/pepper and S&P.

Sorry for the hijack but been waiting a year for my favorite meal.

I have a LEM on that works good. Has adjustment for size. Definetly buy the precut papers. Think I got 2k for like 10 bucks a few years ago.

I only use mine after we butcher and have a crap load of hamburger. Make a bunch of frozen burger patties.

same here. I like making venison sausage patties and usually end up making about 100 or so. The OCD in me really likes uniform thickness and diameter patties. If I was just making a couple burgers to throw on the grill for dinner, doing it by hand works just fine.

Crawdaddy – did you get my PM? Are you interested in the burger press I have?
