I will be heading to Green lake for the weekend and focuses on catching bass and wondering if anyone has been out there lately? If you can provide me what the water temps where and how you got you fish that would be great.

I got out fishing on Friday-Sunday. The weather for the most part was very comfortable, albeit a little windy on sunday.
We ended up finding some nice smallies in the 5-8 foot shoreline. We caught these fish early in the morning on top water poppers and than when that slowed on cranks, rattle traps and shallow diving cranks (raw colored). We saw the concentration of the fish on flat rock structures that extended out a good ways from the shores. We caught some fish off the deep humps but not many in one spot.
The big fish for the weekend was 20″, with many (~20+) in the 16-18″ range. When the fish hit, it felt like a freight train as they would hammer it.
I would love to get out there again soon but I know it won’t happen until sometime next year.
