I think you mean northeast of Deer River. If that is the one, I have fished it a couple times, very clear with a lot of structure. Walleye, smallmouth and musky available. I think most guys fish it at night. Beautiful lake!!!

Any tips on going after walleyes? Any tips on sunfish or crappies?

Only fished it a couple times, targeted smallies. Looks for rocks or rocky points, X-raps or jig and twister tail is all I used. If you are looking for Walleye I would suggest trolling at night with cranks, I have never done it on Deer, night fishing can be a pain!!

Deer can be a super tough lake with the clear water. Only fish it at night to give yourself a better chance. Pokegama is better for walleyes and Smallies and it is much more consistent with a bigger average size for both species. I have fished both lakes a good amount.
