They have a Navionics ap for iPhone, it sells for $10. Anyone use this ap? I think it would be pretty handy especially if you are fishing in boat other than your own. Thoughts?

I think most people who have smart phones and are fishermen carry this app, very useful to help pass time at work and works well on the water.
May 10, 2011 at 8:31 pm #964972Thanks I just bought an iPhone the other day and saw this ap, I got pretty excited of course, but wanted to see what other fishermen thought of it. Thanks again!
May 10, 2011 at 9:05 pm #964986I have it on my Ipad. What a great ap. I can bench-fish any lake before I get there since it has all lake topo maps.
I often wanted to look a a lake on gps when my boat was parked out in the driveway or parking lot. I can plan a milk run with my buddies in the motel the night before we hit the lake.May 12, 2011 at 3:27 pm #965564Is it $10 for ALL that navionics has on ALL of their chips, or do you have to buy the N/Canada/W/whatever regions separately?
Is it a $10 one-time-fee, or is it yearly, or pay for updates, etc?
Does it work well as a far as GPS location vs map location with regards to accuracy?
Seems like a very cool app…
