Garmin Striker Plus 9SV

Thinking of purchasing one of these units. Does anyone have any experience with them? The lack of lake maps worries me but the auto mapping intrigues me. Let me know, Thanks!

There’s plenty of threads on Garmin units if you care to look for them on here. Love mine, autochart is great. I wouldn’t hesitate to get one if you don’t need the mapping.

Lack of response is probably because not a bunch of people buy the Striker series units. Most end up with EchoMap series units. Not that Strikers are bad units,they are great for the price. You just get more with the EchoMaps for a little or no price difference. Had one of the original Striker 7 units and it worked great. Not sure if you are referring to Quickdraw when you say Auto mapping, but quickdraw maps are limited with Striker series to what you can store internally on the unit. No card slot for additional storage. I think it says 2 million acres. Good luck with whatever you decided.
