I’ve got the FXE gloves. If I’m keeping active they’re ok, but if I’m just standing around my fingers get cold. These are the shorter ones with the velcro strap.

December 13, 2010 at 10:55 pm #916919I have the original Snosuit Gauntlet style gloves and the size is XL.
My hand measures 8inches from Tip of the naughty finger to the bottom of my handI do not like a tight glove but one that I can still perform some easy task in such as, drilling holes, setting up the shack, and still be able to fish with them on while hole hopping.
I could go with the L but like I said, I’d rather be a tad big than a tad small.
Hope that helps…I know it is tough ordering stuff on line without getting the touchy feel warm fuzzy feeling!Good Luck with your purchase zonar
December 14, 2010 at 2:55 pm #917108Big clunky mittens – sometimes with a hothands popped in it – are there for me just in case. I might wear them when it’s really cold out and I’m travelling to or from the spot.
Nice,well-fitting (but not TIGHTLY fitting) elkskin gloves for tasks or normal travelling in double-digit temps.
Brown cotton jerseys with the thumbtips and pointer fingertips cut off are for fishing. When it’s really cold I’ll have a hothands in the palm of each glove. I bring a bunch, keep a bunch in the boat in spring and fall…When they get wet,I use another.and another, and another. They’ve gotta be cotton, not the cotton/polyester blend I’m seeing lately (Walmart has 100% polyester. it’s advertised “for longer wear”. Ya right).
I have about 1/2 bushel of gloves ready to go,and another 4 dozen in the packaging….On a nice day when they only get wet from handling fish,it’s sweet to have a pile in the corner of the sled.
I wash them in cold, and only wash them when necessary. The majority of fish slime or other soil comes off in the dryer.
