I’m going on a family trip to the Riviera Maya/Cancun in December this year. Thinking I’d like to book at least one fishing trip. Any advice or recommendations from IDOers? Thanks in advance.

We used Captain Rick’s Sportfishing Adventures a few years ago on our honeymoon. I was not overly impressed.

i did a shared charter out of “aquaworld” about 6 years ago. it was good. fairly inexpensive and the other folks were decent to fish wit. nice, clean boats and good equipment.

Another thumbs down for Captain Ricks, our captain and first mate said 4 words to us the whole time, “Stay in the front”. We trolled for a couple hours and caught one barracuda. Bottom fished the rest of the time, which consisted of them fishing and us only reeling in the small groupers. They would take the fish off and then it was, “Back to the front”. Never again.
