Charging a depth finder battery???

    I’ve got one of the small rechargeable 12v batteries that run my depthfinder. I don’t have a charger for the battery but my main battery charger goes down to 2amps. Is that going to be too much for that little battery to take?

    I hooked it up for a second and it jumped up in voltage right away to I unplugged it immediately fearing I would ruin it.

    If it is atleast a 8 amp or 9 amp battery you will be just fine.

    I use a 1.5 amp charger on a 7.2 amp battery and it works fine.
