BAIT SHOP CLOSING

    FISHED GULL LAKE LAST WEEKEND, AND STOPPED FOR BAIT IN NISSWA AT MARV KOEP’S. THEY ARE CLOSING OCTOBER 19TH BECAUSE THEY ARE MOVING THIER STORE SOUTH ON 371. THEY ARE BUILDING A NEW SHOP AND WON’T OPEN UNTIL APRIL. THEY HAVE SOME GOOD SALES ON WHAT STOCK THEY HAVE LEFT.
    DOESN’T SOUND LIKE THEY WILL HAVE ANY BAIT FOR ICE FISHING SEASON.

    NEWT,
    WE DID NOT DO THE GREATEST. WE CAUGHT A LOT OF 10-14 INCHERS WITH THE BIGGEST MEASURING IN AT 22. HAD FUN THOUGH, AND WE ALL MISSED YOUR MARBLE- EYED GUIDANCE. WE WERE ABLE TO GET THROUGH THE CHANNEL TO ROUND LAKE WITH SOME HASSLE, BUT DID NOT CATCH ANYTHING BUT BASS.
    WE ONLY FISHED DURING DAYLIGHT HOURS, AND SOME OF THE LOCALS SAID THEY COULDN’T KEEP THE EYES OFF THEIR HOOKS ON FRIDAY BEFORE THE FRONT CAME THROUGH.

    WHEW ! Saw the title of this thread and thought another bait shop closing for good. Its very important that we all support our local Bait Shops or they won’t be there and then we are left without bait and the handy products they carried for us. Thanks, Bill
