Has anyone had any luck finding eyes or crappies on Big Birch recently?? I was trolling last weekend with a spinner tipped with a fathead and also raps and couldn’t even drag a slimy into the boat. I fished both islands, the narrows loon lane and the point in front of Rielands house. Just wondering if anyone else was experiencing the same? I am leaving work early today to head up. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

    Ritt14-

Where is Big Birch? I have heard of it and probably even fished it before. I am drawing a blank right now.

What town or other lakes are close by?

Big Birch is located between Melrose and St. Rosa\Grey Eagle. It is a fairly large lake (2500 acres or so). The Rock Tavern Eatery\bar is located on the North East end of the lake and Grey Eagle is 5 miles from there. There is also a State Park on the lake. Let me know if you need better instructions or check out the new dnr site. They have a nice topographic lake map.

I heard the crapppies have been going for about 2 weeks now a little deeper 8-11ft.

Big Birch has some very nice crappies when you find them!
