A few days late but still a report:
The crappies are going good in the ‘boot’ area on Rice(NE end of the lake by MorningStar Campground).
Fished there this past weekend with my 5 y.o. son and 7 y.o. nephew (they fished – I untangled lines/baited hooks). We caught a number of decent sized crappies with a 15″ walleye caught by my boy as a bonus. Fishing in about 5 ft of water.
Word must be out because there were consistently 20 – 25 boats in the general area all weekend.
