Heading to Minong WI

    Hey guys heading to a buddies cabin this weekend in the Minong WI area. Actually he is west of Minong on Twin Lakes i believe. Usually we just fish his family lake or float the river, but i was wondering if anyone knew how some of the other lakes in the area are for fishing. Dont need spots but just looking for general info as the WI DNR doesnt seem to have a lake finder on their web page

    By far, I would hit up the Minong Flowage. There some absolutely huge slabs in this lake! quite a few walleye and pike, but the waldo’s can be hard to get in the winter. Also great for gills. If you go up there, do not venture too far away from the groups. There are just a few spots on the ends that have sketchy ice. Good luck!

    old thread but anyone been out in the minong area? hows the ice holding up? thanks
