    Well, how did everyone do?

    (6) of us fished the Chippewa Flowage, and boated 2 walleyes total on a reasonable amount of time spent on the water. There were boats evewhere, but not many bent rods. Oh well, the water temp was in the mid 40’s at best.. Probably be pretty good in a couple of weeks.

We were just north of Turtle Lake and did fairly well. Lots of northerns and a fair amount of bass. Just got back last night. Northerns were biting on anything from nightcrawlers to buzzbaits. Water temps in the high 40s. Sat was really good until late afternoon when the wind switched from out of the SW to straight out of the north. Fished a few different lakes and basically the same results. The only thing that was real odd was the lack of panfish when we actively targeted them. No big fish just all about average. Best “quality” fish was a 18 1/2 in bass on a spinnerbait in shallow water where the pads were just sprouting on bottom. That’s all I know.—————–Pax

We were on the Chip also on the opener, East side. did very well, slip bobbers with minnows in 18 ft of water seemed to give us the best bite. 3 of us in the boat, each caught a fish over 21 inches each day.
