My wonderful 102 year old uncle left me his rifle and shotgun. God bless his soul!
I’m trying to fit this shotgun into the FN history, but admittedly I wish I was wiser. The 16ga humpback thread got me thinking that y’all might have some insight…

Same as a Browning A5. Remington manufactured it as the Model 11. Perhaps the best and easiest gun to point on target ever, a but hard on recoil. Just make sure it is chambered for 2 3/4 inch loads. Some were chambered for 2 1/2 loads. If this is the case, a gunsmith can bore out the chamber to 2 3/4 inches and it function fine. Great shotgun.

Looks like an old A5 from browning. Probably worth some good money.

I have gone to that site. The best I could find was that my Sweet Sixteen was pre 1940. The one thing that was a cool to find out that the bore is a factory Improved cylinder.

I’m a real fan of FN weapons – have several but all more ‘modern’ models. That’s a real beauty!
