Anybody know what a good place to get a ribeye in the north Orlando, Florida? I will be down there for week and plan to take the family out to some better restaurants for suppers. Need a good steak place, and maybe a good fish/ seafood place. I prefer not to go to the chain places unless they are something that is not here in the midwest.
If I were you I would have a steak before you leave home. If you get lucky you will get one shipped from Iowa. Hunt down what’s in season and local seafood. Amazing how much seafood in Florida is from overseas. There are 15 shrimp boats at the end of our canal. The shrimp at the grocery store was from Vietnam. Some of the small spots are great. I spend 2 months a year in Florida. Think I’ve eaten one steak out in 3 years. Not much corn in Florida. Kinda like getting good seafood in Iowa. Although there is some good BBQ to be found.
I’m sure some high end places have good steaks in FL. However, I agree in all my travels in FL doesn’t seem like they are known for having good beef. Kinda spoiled here in the Midwest for beef.
That is what I am looking for, a good upscale place that has good beef. I would find it hard to believe there is not a place in the area that serves a good steak. Something like a Pittsburgh blue, but in Orlando area. (HUGE bonus if they have hashbrowns as good as Pittsburgh Blue)
