Just how 2023 is going for my fishing. I had to get a new Internal Defib put in on Tuesday, so the wise choice is not to fish for a few days so the wound heals properly. It kind of sucks that half the year is winter, and yet my old one gives up the ghost in June. If it heals properly it won’t mess with any of my club tournaments, so there is that. But this sucks!

At least you’ll be prepared when the next 5lber is on the end of your line. Be patient, and recover fully. You have a lot of seasons ahead of you.

Dang man, sorry to hear that. Power source go bad or just end of it’s lifespan? Hopefully you don’t ever need it to actually work!

End of life, it was put in November of 2011. My first one was put in November of 2003. This new one’s projected lifespan is 15 to 18 years.

And now my boat motor has issues. Probably a clogged carb. I had the same thing happen a couple of years ago. It runs, but my max speed is 6 mph. The good news is it’s only 25hp, and I have a backup engine in waiting. So in theory I am prepared to deal with this relatively painlessly with little lost fishing time.
