Fished Clear Lake last Saturday, bunch of Yellow bass, a few short (<11") walleyes, and enough short-biters to drive a man insane.
I was surprised when the doctor let me go – I had back surgery last Thursday, but he ok’ed me for walleye pursuit, and I was at no time during the weekend in danger of lifting a heavy fish.
Can someone PM me when the crappies really start going in the CR/IC area? I always like to take my little girl out when the crappie fishing gets hot, but the bad back is going to keep me from going out every weekend for at least a while. I would guess that the rain we’ve been getting might hold it off a week or two.
