After doing some spring cleaning I realized that a cinder block/foundation of my garage had a large hole in it and is crumbling. I thought I could just put some spray foam in the void and then patch it with concrete. As I dug around it it was just crumbling and might be a bigger issue that would call for a professional. Do any of you work with foundations or have a contact that might be able to help. PM Me

Bust out the old block, clean hole to fit new block, mix up a small batch of mortar, put layer of mortar on bottom, insert new block and tuck point the rest of the gap with mortar

Unless it is happening to more than just a couple blocks what Jesse said is right on.

It sounds like you have a water freeze thaw issue. It would be wise to figure out where that water is coming from first.
