    Christmas Lake Public Access Opens May 1
    From the City of Shorewood main webpage

    The public access boat ramp at Christmas Lake opens Friday, May 1, 6 am and will be open daily 6 am-10 pm through the boating season. Inspectors will be on duty during open hours to inspect boats for aquatic invastive species. To ensure that you pass the inspection and are able to launch your boat, please make sure you follow DNR recommendations. If you have questions, please contact the city at 952.960.7900. If there is an after hours problem with the gate, please call 952.960.7914 and press 2.

    Christmas Lake Gate

    In an effort to make sure boats entering Christmas Lake are not contaminated with Zebra Mussels, a gate has been installed at the public entrance of Christmas Lake. The gate will be down restricting access to the lake from 10 pm to 6 am daily. As in previous years, lake access continues to be during Shorewood park hours, 6 am-10 pm daily. During open hours boats may be inspected. If you have questions about the gate contact city hall at 952.960.7900. In case of emergency after business hours dial 9-1-1.
