    Hello IDO’ers,

Good friend to many here and original IDO guide and reporter from the old days of “Moving Waters” and “Fish The River” websites needs your thoughts and prayers.

As many know Chris has battled cancer longer than most humans could possibly endure. He has been moved into hospice care at Regina in Hastings. His son Nick has posted updates on FB. For those who don’t use FB, Nick says his dad is in and out of consciousness being treated for pain. Hard for him to communicate now.

Sad days for all of us who had the privilege to fish with and spend time hanging out with Chris. All around great guy!

Damn. My wife and I bring him up occasionally. I haven’t seen him in a long time but had some good times with him back in the day.

Some of you may know that I have had my own battles with cancer. When I was diagnosed with kidney cancer back in 2006, Tuck called my wife and explained to her what I was about to deal with, all the details. He made sure she was prepared for the future. It was a great act of kindness and it meant a lot to me and my wife, something I’ll never forget. But that is the kind of guy Chris Tuckner is.

    In my prayers old friend.

Dammit. I hate seeing posts like this. Tuck is one of the “Old Timers” for sure. He and I share the same birthday, and always communicate on that day. I sent him a text on March 4th and never heard back from him. So sad that now I know why.

In my thoughts and prayers, Tuck.

He has battled cancer a few times and always has a positive attitude. He put up a courageous fight. Thoughts are with him and the family.
