I hit the lower Chip yesterday with riverfan and we found the smallies quite cooperative. We caught about 30 fish in roughly 6 hours. Tubes and spinnerbaits did most of the damage with some coming on topwater baits as well. Most fish were 14-15″ but we also caught a handful of 17-19″ smallies too. The eyes were even biting our bass tackle, we caught 5 fish with the biggest being 24 inches. Current breaks on rock were the ticket for smallies, and current breaks on sand for the walleyes.
