Hit the Chip south of Durand yesterday in search of some bronzebacks. We had a good day catching 20+ fish for the afternoon. Pitching tubes and creature baits yeilded most of our fish. Caught three 18″ fish and many smaller ones. They really seemed stacked up in and around spawning areas so the fishing should only get better as they move up to bed. The water is really low for this time of year as well so if you get out be careful. I really hope we get some rain or everything will be sanded in just like the last few years

Just bought a place below the Radisson Flowage on the Chippewa River and only managed one little muskie but the color was awesome. I hope to land something in the 40″ class someday, hopefully it has the same colors. River is very low even for the Chippewa though.
