Fish O Rama

12 days till we head north to Chetek again, the anticipation is intensifying, we look forward to this vacation every year. Reports on crappie i’ve heard is that you can catch a bunch of em, but they are all small. In the 7 or 8 years we’ve been going to Chetek, we have never ever caught a tagged Fish O Rama fish. We’re still gonna buy buttons, just lookin’ for someone to tell me they’ve caught one at some point, so I know there truly are tagged fish in the chain. I’m beginning to think they are “Snuffleupagus”…….

We head to Chetek the 24th for the second year. We get our buttins too just in case. Good luck!

Got a tagged fish about 8 years ago. $25.00. A guy in the campground got one several weeks ago. Good luck.

Well, its good to hear that at least one has actually been caught. One of these years, I’d at least like to catch a tagged one, just to say I have…..

Well, no tagged fish caught. Learned where they are released (not sure how reliable source is tho), but didn’t go fish there due to how far away it is from where we stay. Didn’t fish as much as I thought we would again, catching all the small crappie kinda dulled our motivation. We did however boost the economy in Chetek, at least all the establishments located off the lakes! Already can’t wait for next year’s trip to Chetek….

No tagged fish for us either, We brought home over 100 fish–mostly crappies. did get some nice fat gills and a couple perch. Wife got the big fish of the trip with a 16 1/2 green sewer trout and I got one short walleye. We had a blast and can’t wait to get back!
