I can hardly catch them on 30lb. test without breaking a few off this guy here catchs one on 8lb test and pulls his boat around. GO FIGURE theres no justice in the world!!!
it is all in how you fight the cat is all i only use 15Lb test but if you can tire them out by back realing instead of having the drag work line wont break off and you should be able to land them try it ok
I wish that was an option, but where I fish there’s swift current adjacent to the area and a lot of snags ,crags , and god knows what else in close proximty, so you see my dilemna– OI either crank the drag down all the way and usually win or I go with light line and only land the little ones. I do have some holes on the croix that alow for this type of cattin , but not down on the snag infested backwaters of the old miss.FISH ON!!!!
