I’m looking for ice conditions and fishing reports for burntside lake. Planning on heading up Saturday morning for a day of fishing
Ice is good lots of ruts from the melt down the last week. Didn’t land any fish lost 3 earlier in the morning one spooled my tip up. Pretty dead all afternoon
Oh right on what part of the lake you go out of I have a trip planned at the end of Feb to go up there.
Nice did you use Cisco’s or were you guys jigging or a mix of both
Anymore info about this? A couple buddies and I are gonna give a shot this weekend. Wondering if we should plan on bringing a sled or wheeler. Or maybe it’s drivable in a pickup?
From what ive read there is some drivable spots but most are using wheelers and sleds I’m going up next weekend. Let me know how you do
Sleds are usually your best bet on burntside. As a smelt forage lake rainbow chubs or fatheads typically outdo ciscos, but not always. Jigging typically outdoes set bait by about 20/1.
