So has Brushy Turned on yet? What’s the water temp?

I’m raring to go now that tax season is about to end. Was out briefly on one of the deeper lakes in Black Hawk county and the surface temp was 46 degrees. I hope Brushy is a little warmer than that with all this warm weather lately. I suppose it will rain next week when I can go.

Any help on the crappie/walleye bite would be most appreciated.

I had a couple buddies shore fishing with a leech and slip bobber Weds. till midnight nothing! I would think the eyes will be turning on any time now.

Not much happening as of last Thursday. Cold wind didn’t help by crashing us into the trees we wanted to fish. Surface temp was 53. Did find some 56 degree water in the back end of one draw and the gills were active there. That was about it. Didn’t really try for suspended crappies since the wind was so unpleasant. Give it another month.
