Finally made it out sunday with my lovely young assistant to BTL. Beautiful weather and a sense of adventure with a challenge made this trip memorable. Targeting drastic break lines and deep water humps seems to be the answer on this lake trout pond. Only ten minutes into our first time on BTL my assistant iced a beautiful first lake trout. Nothing but smiles from that point on leaving us with confidence to carry through the day. Keeping an aggressive jigging style targeting within’ 5-10 feet of the bottom, in a depth range of 26-40 FOW boasted us three great lake trout. Aggressive Jigging partnered with Kenkatch Tackle’s white 3/4oz. Perma-Tube as well as Custom Jig and Spins 1/4 oz. Silver and Green Slender Spoon.
Looking forward to learning more about this great local fishery and many more memorys to be made on a great lake.
