we are going to bowstring lake 6-22 thru 6-29 any information on bait to use or areas to try for walleyes and crappies??

Live bait (rainbows / shiners) on light jigs… drift (or troll) working cabbage weedlines first near deeper water then mid-lake humps. I wouldn’t fish anything less than 12-14 feet. With the warmth, the deeper area will probably be best. You could also try some of the sand but again look for breaks.

I have fished bowstring before and I just got back from a week on Sand lake (connected to bowstring) On Sand the trick was working the ledges and submerged islands using a plan hook lindy rig/leach. We picked up several nice eyes trolling a Rapala XRap in pearch pattern. We tried lots of other lures while trolling but nothing else seemed to work.
