My wife and I decided to try camping finally with our boys. On Saturday we have a camping spot at Beaver Creek. I know that they only have a trout stream. My boys will probably want to fish. For my boys 3 and 5 I was just going to set up there small rods with light sinkers and a hook with worms. That is how I fished trout growing up. I was also going to try my luck with a small rod with a spinner like a panther martin. Any suggestions?

I’ve never fished beaver creek, but I have been through the park several times. It is nice place for sure. As far as the fishing…those trout see a lot of human traffic because of the walking trails next to the stream. My advice would be to get away from the normal traffic as much as possible. Otherwise fish early or late in the day. Make sure your shadow or outline doesn’t show over the stream. There are definitely fish in there. I’ve seen a lot of them while walking. If that doesn’t pan out there are several other good options in the area.
