Not sure of the weather elsewhere, but here in the Saint Cloud area it’s like an ice rink almost everywhere. If we get a some snow later it may be even worst with that covering the ice. Going to be no shortage of car accidents and falls. Be safe and take you time if you need to go out in it.

I went on a beer run last night around 7 and holy smokes I almost lost it going around a turning vehicle. This morning I got up and there are 1/4″ sized ice balls on the ground. Its now basically raining. I told the wife and kids school would be late this morning last night and they are closed.

The last 1/2 hr. the temp went up a few deg’s and its changed from freezing rain to all rain. It is even melting some of the ice layer. My neighbor texted me and asked if I could put here garbage out for her. I slid all the way down my driveway, shuffled down the road, and then struggled to get up her driveway. After getting the garbage out I walked across the yard to get back home. Was able to walk on the crust of about 1.5-2′ of extreme hard packed snow. Its going to take some real warm days or a extended period of warm rain to get that all melted.

here down in southern MN we had a good old-fashioned thunderstorm overnight, but sounds like our time is coming tonight and into tomorrow. Winter Storm Warming in effect 4-8 of wet, heavy snow and 45 MPH winds. Guess I’ll keep practicing my Turkey calling this weekend, got my indoor list pretty much taken care of with this late spring.

That’s nice that your wife allows for an inside list to fit the weather.

Mine had the nerve last night to ask if I had considered starting a large landscaping project on Saturday digging out grass, installing edging, some pavers, etc. I told her I’d be all over it… if she shoveled 6-8″ of snow out of the way around the entire house.

I can usually keep the list in-check by stating that I need to go out and buy such and such tool to get that job done – then, all of the sudden it’s not as important – and when it is, I get new tools that may or may not necessarily be NEEDED for the job… rotflol

Yes. Great strategy that is a key staple in every marriage

Wife: “Can you finally get these pictures hung up, and finish building that entryway bench?”

Me: “Absolutely. I was just thinking I really needed to get that done. I’m going to have to pick up a Milwaukee Brushless 21 degree Framing Nailer, and one of the new Milwaukee inverters before I can go any further. I can stop over at the Miller’s first today to see if they have one, and if not I’ll order them when I get back.”

Wife: “Thank you, I appreciate it.”

Me: …..(loads cooler into truck knowing the Millers are watching football and drinking beer in the garage)…”Love you. Let me know if you want me to grab something later for supper”

Bam – just bought myself 4 more days waiting for new tools to ship that were completely unnecessary for the job
