how’s the bite on Balsam?

    Was up there a few weekends ago and it was OK… not great… OK. Caught a couple near the end of daylight. Once it got dark, the LX5 lit up like a christmas tree – not fish, probably algae or small critters…

    How’s the crappie bite been? How about the sunnies?

    Planning on taking my son out for the first father-son ice fishing day this winter. Sure would like to put him on some action…

    It’s been an early morning bite according to a friend of mine who’s been up there for 2 weeks. He says you can catch em until about 8:30. After that it’s tough until evening.
