I can confirm that. There was a sheriff boat launching at 2:15 with three guys in the boat, and I saw another sheriff show up as I was pulling out. On the other side of the back channel bridge there was a police car sitting there too.
November 20, 2023 at 4:18 am #2236711I didn’t hear a bit of news yesterday and am assuming he’s still missing.
November 20, 2023 at 8:16 am #2236724There is a missing person. Possibly looking for this person.
BRAD IS MISSING!
We need your help finding Brad Nagel! He was last heard from on Wednesday November 15th at 11:45 pm. It is currently our belief that he was in the Diamond Bluff/ Hager City area. Brad was last seen driving a 2005 Black Chevy Colorado with a Minnesota license Plate # DLB 549.If you have any information please contact Goodhue County Sherriff Dept at 651-385-3155 or your local law enforcement center.
Please share far and wide!!
November 20, 2023 at 8:57 am #2236732Wondered what was going on, saw a sheriff’s boat ripping through the no wake zone at full speed in the afternoon.
November 20, 2023 at 10:17 am #2236748Last seen driving a truck and they are scouring the water? Obviously they are withholding details that could help with his recovery.

THought the same thing.
November 20, 2023 at 11:27 am #2236771The truck has been found, but Brad has not as of the last GHC Update.
They are withholding info, but I’m going to guess they know what they’re doing and doing it for a reason.
November 20, 2023 at 4:24 pm #2236840They had “missing man” signs all across the dike road this morning.
November 20, 2023 at 5:56 pm #2236850Was the truck pulled from the water? I’ve heard conflicting information.
November 20, 2023 at 6:34 pm #2236854Truck was at the back channel landing. In the drink.
uffda………not good
November 21, 2023 at 10:22 am #2236938Yes, the truck was pulled from the WI Back Channel on Sunday.
Yesterday (Monday) the landing was closed off again for (what I assume) were more divers. The LEO’s wouldn’t let anyone in the parking area. This time the emergency lights were not flashing.

November 27, 2023 at 6:22 am #2238067Seems a bit suspicious that his truck was recovered at a different location than where he was found.

Seems very strange. Lots of missing pieces to that story. Very sad deal either way

November 27, 2023 at 9:22 am #2238110“The events leading to Brad Nagel’s disappearance on November 15, 2023, remain shrouded in mystery. According to witnesses and authorities, Brad, a 45-year-old man from Red Wing, Minnesota, was visiting his friend John Smith in Diamond Bluff / Hager City, Wisconsin. He left Smith’s house around 10 p.m., intending to return to his home in Red Wing, which is approximately 20 miles away.
However, he never made it home, and there has been no contact from him since. Concerned about his well-being, Brad’s family reported him missing to the Red Wing Police Department, which then contacted the Pierce County Sheriff’s Office in Wisconsin since he was last seen in their jurisdiction.
Despite extensive search efforts using ground, air, and water resources, as well as checks on his phone records, bank accounts, and social media, no clues or leads have been found. Weather conditions, including cold, snowy, and windy weather, have further complicated the search.
Authorities suspect various possibilities, including a potential car accident that might have led his truck into the Mississippi River, which runs along the border between Minnesota and Wisconsin. Foul play is also not ruled out, and officials are urging anyone with information to come forward.”
Hopefully the press release today will sort this out.
November 27, 2023 at 2:05 pm #2238230Brad was found with a single self inflected wound.
No explanation of the truck in the river.
November 27, 2023 at 2:14 pm #2238233Brad was found with a single self inflected wound.
No explanation of the truck in the river.
That is really odd. How far from where his truck was to where he was found?
November 27, 2023 at 2:26 pm #2238237Sad. The struggle is one most people will never have to battle.
November 27, 2023 at 6:14 pm #2238348Speculating does no good. At some point a official announcement will be made.
Thoughts and prayers to the family. It seems these things are doubly bad when they happen near the Holidays.
