The hot walleye bite continues if you dress for the cold. 1/8 oz. jigs tipped with large fatheads in 12-16 fow in the old river channels, especially by the sharp bends have been producing 20-40 walleye per day for the hearty anglers.

This is Musky weather and they have been turning on to jerk and crank baits, along with suckers.

There has also been a good bluegill and crappie bite. A piece of crawler or a crappie minnow on a jig by the cribs and boulder/woody areas have been producing some nice catches.

Most leaves are now down, so grouse hunting has really picked up with many single and some double flushes. Woodcock have pushed on to warmer climates.
