Fishing on Forest Lake last weekend. Gorgeous weather and the fishing wasn’t too bad either!

Nope she sure didnt (fish police). It was gut hooked and will now look good nailed to a piece of driftwood next to a couple of his brothers…

Just sad to see a 7-10 yr old fish come out of the water for good. I never placed blame on you (fish police brutally victim)…either way, nice fish and it will look good on the wall.

Yup I hate to see fish like that die too.im not a fish keeper myself. Just figure if something’s gonna die might as well put it to use instead of watch it float down the River.

I was lucky enough to be part of two good friends PB Gills. Cool thing was that both were from lakes not known for big Gills.

Sorry, I can’t seem to get a picture to be in the correct orientation anymore. Even if I flip my original picture to fix the mistake it just makes two mistakes.

Yeah I think the site doesn’t handle some portrait shots very well. It will try flipping them to landscape.

Its really been a good year for the panfish, but I really have been putting more effort into it this year for no one reason or another… But it’s been good… The best part is two new lakes with boat landings are giving these fish up.

And Crappies too, always kind to these fish too, all gills over 8″ go back unless injured and crappies over 11″ get the same treatment. The crappie lake we are on has given up some pretty good fish fries for some folks and we seem to be able to augment if necessary with some small lmb’s, which are very abundant in the lake… any thing over 14″ always goes back…
